History

Vodka Street Global Bistro and Bar  in San Marcos, Texas, opened their doors for business in February of 2011 and has brought some unique dishes to the square ever since.

Vodka Street’s history roots from within The Green Parrot, which is right across the street. The Green Parrot has been a staple on the square since 1984 and is a founding father to what we know the square as now.     DSC_0908

Former Texas State student, Eric White is the proud owner of both Vodka Street and The Green Parrot. He bought The Green Parrot on April 1, 2009 after being the general manager there for 10 years. Then just two years later purchased and opened Vodka Street.

Vodka Street is unique compared to all of the other bars on the square for one reason, the diversity of the food on the menu. White spent five years perfecting the menu by traveling all over the world and compiling all of his favorite dishes and bringing them back to San Marcos. He would take the one dish from each restaurant that people went there for the most, and would add it to his menu. So instead of just having that one specialty dish, every item on the menu is crafted as if it were that one big item, making it the most diverse menu on the square.
